JobKeeper Payments – Latest Fact Sheets

Everyone is talking about the JobKeeper Payments regime – which was recently announced by Scott Morrison (The Prime Minister) and Josh Frydenberg (The Treasurer).

For those entities that qualify, the government will provide a wage subsidy of $1,500 per fortnight (before tax) – for every eligible employee, for a period of up to 6 months – with monthly payments starting from the first week of May 2020 (and back dated to 30th March 2020).

That been said – we note that Parliament is not due to be recalled until sometime next week (fingers crossed), this proposed wage subsidy regime is still pending bi-partisan agreement and (most importantly) enactment of the requisite legislation.

At the moment there is a lot of confusion (and ‘misleading information’) being disseminated in the wider community. So for now, sit tight, and if you feel your business meets the eligibility requirements (refer government fact sheet below) – then please register your interest with the ATO at:

Once the legislation has been passed into law, this will provide greater clarity (as well as the technical workings of this system) and the Your Consultancy Network team will be able to provide more guidance with regards to the practical applications of this system.

In the meantime, we have pdf copies of the 3 x fact sheets in relation to the latest announcements from the Australian Government (last updated 31st March 2020) which you can find at the bottom of this post.
